About the Role:
The Safety, Risk and Wellbeing Business Partner plays a critical role in supporting the development of a positive organisational culture, focusing on Workplace Health, Safety & Wellbeing . This role provides operational safety and risk advice, manages the WHS framework, supports employee engagement and wellbeing, and enhances safety and performance culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to integrate WHS into business planning and support strategic objectives.
- Provide advice to and support to stakeholders on effective and appropriate management of WHS operational matters across the employee lifecycle.
- Lead innovative WHS initiatives that prioritises employee wellbeing and psychosocial safety.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of P&C business improvement projects to drive a high-performance culture and support employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work and WHS legislation and advise on risk management strategies.
- Support the Safety & Wellbeing Committee, providing training, guidance, and reporting on safety metrics.
- Manage injury claims and return-to-work processes, ensuring safe and timely transitions.
- Develop and update WHS policies, procedures, and training materials in line with legal requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with leaders and team members to enhance their skills and confidence in effectively implementing Gowrie NSW's workplace health, safety, and wellbeing. practices and procedures
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualification in Workplace Health & Safety or a related field.
- Previous experience in leading safety, risk and wellbeing initiatives in a similar organisation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in WHS legislation and interpretation and practice
- Proven ability to advise and coach leaders in performance management and safety practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
- Ability to travel regionally.
